Building Your MT Website
Building a Profitable Medical
Transcription Business
I’m always surprised by the number of MTs
who still don’t have their own business
websites. Nowadays, it’s really so simple and
inexpensive to have your own website, there really is no
excuse for any of us not to have our own web
presence.
There are so many reasons why a web
presence is so important.
People are using the internet more and
more.
Recent studies have shown that even for local searches
people tend to use the internet first before restoring to other
forms of searches (such as the yellow pages,
etc.)
A website will serve as your professional
office 24 hours a day.
Imagine having customers log on at any time of the day to
be greeted by a welcoming website introducing them to your
services.
You’re making it easy for your customers
to find you and find out more about you and your
services.
A well constructed website will really expand your marketing
efforts and help you grow your business.
But I’m Not A Website
Designer!
But what if you have no idea where to
start or have no clue what HTML (computer language/code)
is?
Don’t worry; building a website is not what it used to
be.
There’s no need to pay a designer top dollar (unless you
want to do that) or spend hours racking your brain trying to
learn HTML.
There are some fantastic programs out
there today that take care of all the technical stuff for
you.
You don’t have to know any HTML and it’s almost as basic
as using a word processor.
I learned to build websites on such programs and still
really only know basic HTML (you will pick this up as you go
along) and it hasn’t hindered me from easily building
professional looking websites.
The program I
recommend, which is one I personally use myself is SiteBuildit! You can
read my
in depth review here.
Another program I recommend is a
little more flexible and allows you more design options than
the one above. Although, it’s very user friendly
and geared towards beginners, you will need a little
more "know how" with this one. I think the extra learning curve is
worth it because it is more flexible for designing and
marketing. You can check out their Free XSitePro
Demo Here.
Have a look at both and decide which is
best for you.
Whichever one you go with, you’ll be able to easily build
a professional looking website without spending a
fortune.
