Promoting Your MT Website

After all your hard work, it’s so rewarding to finally see your website live on the internet.  It’s a fantastic feeling to be able to tell your family and friends you have your own website… and rightly so, you should be proud because you’ve done something for your business to help it stand out from the rest.

Now, it’s time to start promoting your new website.  There are several ways to promote your website, one is offline (which will get to later) and the other is online.

The first thing you should be concerned with is optimizing your site for search engines.  If you're new to search engine optimization, don't worry, I’m going to give you some basics to help you get started.  Go here for an easy search engine optimization tutorial.

Once you’ve optimized your site for the search engines, the next thing you’ll do is promote it.  Online there are many differnet ways to do this.  You can write press releases (I'll show you how), write articles, build incoming links and advertise on online directorires.

It's all fairly straight forward and, if done properly, will start to bring a steady stream of free search engine traffic to your new website.  In the next section, you'll find a few different tools to help you promote your new medical transcription website.
