Website Promotion
Tools
Promoting your website may seem a little
daunting at first, but with a few basics you’ll start
driving free targeted traffic to your website.
These website promotion tools will make getting started
easy.
Website Promotion
Tools
Writing
Articles – Writing articles will distinguish
you from others in your field.
Most other fields really
use articles as standard use of website
marketing.
In the MT field this
isn’t done very often.
This is a great
opportunity for you to classify yourself as the expert in
your field.
For example if your website lists the MT
services you offer, your prices and so forth, then add a
section titled MT Articles.
In this section write
various short articles describing why outsourcing
transcriptions saves money, what to look for in a good MT,
HIPPA compliance laws, etc.
This will not only serve as search engine
food but will also class you as an expert in the eyes of
your potential clients.
And it helps build
credibility.
Once your articles are written submit them
(for free) to the top article directories.
People will then find your articles, place them on their
websites and provide lots of incoming links (potential
customers) back to your website.
Press
Releases – Press releases are a sure fire way
to drive targeted traffic to your website.
Your press release will include important information
such as contact information, date of release, your name, and
website address.
Your press release should read like a news
story more than an add about your website.
It should contain newsworthy information that will be of
value to others. Here are a few ideas to write
about:
Your New Website – Explain how this website will
provide a valuable resource for your local community,
etc.
A Contest – If you’re holding some type of
contest for new customers or employees.
Charity – Write a press release if you’re
holding an even for charity or donating a portion of your
sales/services to charity.
A New
Service/Expansion – You’re adding a new service or
expanding an existing one.
There are many other reasons and those
would of course depend on what’s happening in your
business.
Once your press release is written then
you’ll need to submit them to all the press release
directories, some are free and some will charge a small
fee.
Have a look through them
and submit to as many as you feel
necessary.
Link
Exchange – This isn’t as important as it once
was but could still bring you some valuable
traffic.
The trick is to exchange
links with sites which are related to yours and provide
useful content for your visitors.
For example if you have an MT site,
exchanging links with a puppy dog care site won’t do you
much good.
However, exchanging
links with a site that provides medical transcription
glossary of terms, medical spellchecker, etc. will not
only provide your visitors with additional resources but
also help with the search engines.
Contact the site owners and ask if they
would be interested in exchanging links with you.
Please try to avoid link farms
(sites which have thousands of links to try to fool search
engines), this will be frowned upon by the search engines
and could jeopardize your ranking.
– If money allows try
to buy advertisement on sites related to
yours.
You should research
these sites to make sure they have a high number of
visitors and rank well with the search
engines.
You don’t want to
advertise on a site which doesn’t receive much
traffic.
Ask the website owners for traffic
statistics (most will provide this on their advertisement
page).
You can then place a
text link or banner going back to your
website.
In order to make the
most out of your advertisement, make sure you’re advertising
on sites which also cater to your target
market.
For example, if you’re looking to hire MTs
then advertise on a site which MTs go to, such as reputable
forum sites, etc.
If you’re looking for
clients then advertise on sites which cater to doctors or
medical personnel.
With a little thought and creativity
you’ll see your efforts start to pay
off.
Once you have
visitors to your site and start finding new clients your
business will start to grow quickly.
Here’s a quote which
has always helped me in business…
The three ingredients for any successful
business are “self believe, drive and determination” as long
as you have that everything else can be
overcome.
That's the end of
our Easy Website Marketing Guide. Follow these tips
and you'll soon be on the way to profiting from your
own medical transcription
website.
